“It’s your responsibility to make sure this thing gets off the ground, but don’t expect any thanks.”
said Dave Grohl, Nirvana’s former drummer (Teicher, 2016).

Nowadays, there is a huge debate going around people in the music industry,
whether drummers get enough credit and if they really should.

On the one hand, drummers do not produce a melody, just the rhythm.
Drumbeats and drum patterns are not typically considered as songwriting;
therefore, they could be copyrighted (Dahl, 2018).

On the other hand, drummers are the backbone of the band.

“A drummer who keeps solid time
makes the rest of the band feel secure and improves everybody’s performance.
A band without a secure, reliable, dynamic and expressive drummer
is a band without strong foundations”

(Stams, 2013).

My choice of minimum light shows that the drummer is still the musician
who rehearse and stays day and night at rehears rooms.
Duotone was used to edit the set:
black demonstrating the darkness of the drummers’ background
and hints of burgundy giving the viewer
seriousness and powerful energy.
